There are several types of health insurance that can insure individuals, families and employees. The primary variations of health insurance are:

  • Affordable Care Act (ObamaCare) - Coverage without pre-existing conditions for individuals and families. Plans vary by zip code and can include dental and vision coverage if a plan is offered in the service area.
  • Short Term - coverage to help fill in gaps in coverage, such as between jobs or waiting on Group coverage to start. Not meant to be a permanent solution to health coverage and pre-existing conditions can be excluded from coverage.
  • Group Health - coverage for multiple lives in a business setting. Usually a minimum of 3 to 5 lives are needed to apply for coverage and may included extra benefits and multiple plans options.
  • Medicaid - coverage for low-income individuals and families. Qualifying factors for income apply.
  • Dental & Vision - coverage for either dental or vision care. Some plans may combine coverages. Not all Dental Vision plans are equal. Some may not be actual insurance and may use a discount program.
  • Ancillary (Supplemental) - this are optional coverages to help fill in Gaps, including Accident, Cancer, and Critical Illness.
